Celebrating Barbara Sherwood: Leading the Way in the AARC House of Delegates

At CORE Staffing, we take immense pride in the dedication and achievements of our team. Today, we’re putting the spotlight on one of our own who has been making waves in the profession of Respiratory Care – Barbara Sherwood, BS, RRT, RRT-ACCS, RRT-NPS.

Barbara holds a pivotal role as the Senior Delegate for Minnesota in the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) House of Delegates. In addition, she also serves as the HOD Elections Co-Chair, an impressive testament to her dedication and leadership skills.

Over a span of three intense days, Barbara, along with the CORE Staffing team, collaborated with the AARC Board of Directors and the AARC Executive Office. Their united objective? To further propel the profession of Respiratory Care to new heights of excellence and recognition.

The AARC House of Delegates plays an instrumental role in representing the collective voice of states at the national level. By bringing issues specific to each state to the attention of the national office, Barbara and her fellow delegates ensure that every concern and perspective is acknowledged and addressed.

Beyond addressing current issues, Barbara and the team have an eye on the future too. This year, they had the privilege of mentoring a student, providing her with an in-depth, firsthand experience of the functioning of the House. Through this initiative, they’re investing in nurturing the upcoming leaders in Respiratory Care.

We’re incredibly proud of Barbara for her tireless commitment and significant contributions to the profession. Her work, along with the efforts of all the delegates, is instrumental in shaping the future of Respiratory Care.
